Ideas for name of 50's theme party?

The girls at my church are throwing a party/dinner type appreciation things for the boys and we were thinking of a Breakfast at Tiffany's type theme only the boys wouldn't appreciate that being the theme name. Any ideas? Basically thinking of black and white movies, pearls, cocktails, etc.

Most 50's parties are the more laid-back themes like Sock Hop, Grease/Happy Days, Polynesian/Hawaiian, or Suburbs/Atomic Ranch.

A great idea is to have the girls dress in pink and the guys dress in black. You could do a theme from the movie grease. The girls can call them selves the pink ladies and the guys grease lighting! For music you can play 50s themed music. You could do the dance contest and have a few prizes. Do a limbo or and have a few prizes. Think 50s generation and what would they have done for fun and entertainment. If you want just get a bunch of pink tshirts from the brand hanes and have the girls decorate their tshirts saying the pink ladies. Maybe one girl might do sparkles the others might do rhine stones while another bunch of girls will just do what ever. The guys can do the same of course they im sure dont want fancy girly sparkles so maybe they can take a silver and gold perminet marker and get black tshirts and write grease lightning on the back. Another idea maybe is like idk gangster movies where the guys bring a girl and everyone dresses in cocktail style dresses and the guys with a black suit.

Call it: #1Elvis is in the building,#2 Marilyn Monroe invitational,#3 D.A.'s and ponytails (two popular hair styles of the time), Or #4 Rock & Roll is here to stay. you need lots of lava lamps streamers for the ceiling and a punch bowl, get some 50's movie posters for the walls. Like "The Creacher From The Black Lagoon", "Black Board Jungle" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still". And of course lots of 50's rock&roll music Like: Little Richard, Fat's Domino, Chuck Barry,The Platters,The Drifters and The Everly Brothers. Run a DVD of "Grease" on the TV and your all set.
