Skipjack's in Copley Square if it's still open, Morton's on Boylston Street...do NOT go to Anthony's Pier 4...it's grossly overrated. Blue Ginger in Wellesley is wonderful and so is Olives, owned and operated by Todd English.

If you're looking for something quirky and historical, Dinner upstairs at the Union Oyster House, which has been in the same building since 1826, is fun.

If you like Cajun, Bob the Chef's on Columbus Avenue is the only game in town

The best website for restaurant reviews is the phantom Gourmet. I watch it every sat & sun. My favorite place is one of Phantom's favorites too: Spire at the Nine Zero Hotel. read about it here http://www.phantomgourmet.com/Showpage.aspx?content=ReportCard&id=3317

and here's their website http://www.spirerestaurant.com/

the union oyster house tends to be full of tourists more than locals in my experience
